In the period of June 24-25, 2008, three representatives of the CAPC and two representatives of the CCECC attended the Round Table "Application and Prospects of Legislation Development in Russia, other West-European and Asian countries in the field of anticorruption expertise of legislative acts and their drafts" organized by the Committee on National Security of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Centre of Strategic Research (Russia), and the Council of Europe.

During this event our country made 2 presentations, within which they offered detailed information about the regulation of the corruptibility expertise process in Republic of Moldova and about the experience accumulated by the Republic of Moldova in this field. As a result of the roundtable, we have found out that our country is practically the most advanced in this field, both at the level of legislative regulations and the institutional framework and at the level of application. All the participants also received CDs with information on legislation regulations and the experience of the Republic of Moldova (both of CCECC and of CAPC) in the field of corruptibility expertise.

As a result of the roundtable, they also developed a memorandum, which included a number of proposals and recommendations presented by our country’s delegation. All the materials discussed within the roundtable, including the information from the CD presented by the delegation of the Republic of Moldova, the shorthand record and the memorandum can be accessed at the following link.

This event was organized in the framework of the Joint Project of Council of Europe and European Commission against Corruption, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in the Republic of Moldova (MOLICO), co-financed by European Commission, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and Council of Europe.
